NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR FOR FRANCOTYP-POSTALIA SWEDEN

Birkenwerder, 2010-12-02

Francotyp-Postalia Sverige AB, a subsidiary of the globally active FP Group, has just gained Joachim Koschier as its new managing director. The 40-year-old Swede commenced his duties on December 1, 2010. A business graduate, he was previously employed as Manageing Director by Böwe Systec Nordic and Itella AB.

"Joachim Koschier has a leader personality and is an experienced manager. We are convinced that with his help we will be able to expand our company's market position in Sweden," commented Andreas Drechsler, member of the FP Group's board of management.

FP Sverige took over Ricoh's franking machines business in Sweden in April this year. Based in Solna, and with an installed base of around 10,000 customers, FP Sverige commands a good position on the market. The company now intends to gain from the decertification process introduced by the Swedish postal authority. This means that older installed franking machines will be replaced with the latest 2D barcode technology standard over the next few years.

Apart from its direct distribution outlets in Stockholm, Malmö and Göteborg, FP Sverige has started to build up its own telesales channel. The company is also cooperating with Ricoh through a dealership agreement.
