Innovative concepts highlight opportunities for using De-Mail in companies and authorities.

Finalists confirmed for the 2014 De-Mail Award for Innovation

Birkenwerder, 25 February 2014. The publicly listed Francotyp-Postalia Holding AG (FP), a multi-channel provider for mail communication and the first accredited De-Mail provider, has announced the finalists for the 2014 De-Mail Award for Innovation. Many interesting concepts were submitted from a wide range of sectors by 31 January 2014. The independent jury has therefore increased the initial number of shortlisted candidates from three to four. The members of the jury are Under-Secretary Achim Hildebrandt from the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Prof. Christoph Meinel from the Hasso Plattner Institute, Christian Schlesiger from the weekly business magazine, WirtschaftsWoche, and Dr Ulrich Stumpf from the Scientific Institute for Infrastructure and Communication Services.

Before the final decision is made, all shortlisted candidates have been invited to CeBIT to present their concepts to the public at the CeBIT ECM Forum in Hall 3, Stand D05 on 12 March 2014 at 4 p.m. The jury will then choose the winner of the 2014 FP Award. The following four companies and their concepts have made it through to the final round:

  • Digital wound documentation with De-Mail, submitted by Petter.Letter GmbH
  • DeMaB – De-Mail Beratungs GmbH submitted a service billing concept for private health insurance companies
  • De-Mail App and identity management based on De-Mail, submitted by Brain-SCC
  • De-Mail integration into health care delivery processes, submitted by X3net

“Some fantastic concepts were submitted. This demonstrates that De-Mail has not just aroused great interest, but that companies and authorities can also see the benefits of De-Mail and are incorporating the new digital communication standard into their infrastructure”, explains Dr Ulrich Stumpf of the Scientific Institute for Infrastructure and Communication Services.

The audience will also have the opportunity to vote for a winner. Anyone attending the presentation can vote. The Audience Award will be presented after the presentation of the FP Award. Every submitted vote for the Audience Award will also be entered into a prize draw to win a HP Slate Tablet.

“We are convinced that De-Mail will be a huge success. It supports simple, traceable and confidential electronic communication, speeds up the exchange of documents, and saves costs", says Hans Szymanski, CEO and CFO of Francotyp-Postalia Holding AG.
