FRANCOTYP-POSTALIA TO PRESENT DIGITAL LETTER SOLUTIONS AT CEBIT

Birkenwerder, 2011-02-04

The Francotyp-Postalia Group, a global service provider for professional mail management, will be presenting its complete range of services at CeBIT from 1 to 5 March 2011. This year, the focus will be on the software solutions FP webbrief and FP phonebrief. These innovative products allow users to send a letter with the greatest of ease online using a PC or their mobile phone. Francotyp-Postalia will be presenting these products as well as new post processing facilities in Hall 3 at Stand D08.

Sending letters with the click of a mouse

The FP webbrief online solution works quickly and easily. The application is loaded via an Internet browser. The user can then enter his text in the template, just as if he were using a text program. He can attach graphics and logos if he wishes. With a click of the mouse, he then sends the document to the FP printing centre. Processing of the letter continues there: printing, franking, inserting and postage-optimised sending to a delivery agent.

In the past year, the FP group gained the WEB.DE portal as a partner for its online FP webbrief mail service. Cooperation between the two companies allows the users to log in to their e-mail inbox directly in the online mail service, and hence send letters quickly and inexpensively. A one-page letter printed in black and white and containing a photo costs a mere 54 cents.

From your mobile phone directly to the postman

FP phonebrief is also easy to handle and offers a preliminary selection of themes as well as the opportunity to send photos taken with the iPhone Cam as a postcard straight away. This makes sending easier than writing a letter or postcard in the conventional manner. Once the sender and recipient have been entered, the user can configure the text any way he likes. If they want to see how easily FP phonebrief works for the iPhone, visitors to CeBIT can test it themselves – for free and with no strings attached – by sending a postcard at the FP Group stand.

The first impression is decisive

Despite the digital innovations, the largest part of documented communication still takes place as it has always taken place – by post. In addition to FP phonebrief and webbrief, Francotyp-Postalia will also be presenting its franking machines and inserters at the trade fair stand. Using these solutions, companies can process their post quickly and efficiently. Customers with their own franking systems can print their own advertising message on their letters and hence make their business mail more conspicuous. CeBIT visitors can see what a specific message could look like and how easily it works by trying it out themselves at the FP stand. The FP Group will be showing all types at the trade fair, from the small machine known as mymail up to the high-performance system called centormail.

“Sending post at the click of a button is no longer a dream of the future. We are offering additional methods of processing post with FP phonebrief and webbrief. The FP Group makes all processes as simple and efficient as possible for customers”, says Andreas Drechsler from the Management Board of the FP Group. “Modern, and in particular cost-effective, post processing constitute the requirements for the future”, he continues.
