Francotyp-Postalia bundles synergies More efficiency for the customer: FP freesort and FP IAB with joint management in the future

AS PART OF THE ACT GROWTH STRATEGY, BOTH PRODUCT DIVISIONS ARE PUSHING AHEAD WITH THEIR COURSE OF GROWTH.

Berlin, 21 February 2018 – The FP Group is putting its faith in dual leadership in its product divisions Mail Services and Software: The firm FP freesort GmbH (FP freesort) and FP Internet Access GmbH Berlin (FP IAB) have expanded their management boards. In the future, both divisions of the listed specialist in secure mail business and secure digital communication processes will be headed by the experienced managers Thomas Damian and Michael Steinberg. With this measure, Francotyp-Postalia Holding AG's growth strategy known as ACT is to be implemented even more efficiently in the Mail Services (FP freesort) and Software (FP IAB) divisions.

The numerous interfaces in FP freesort's business models as a specialist for the consolidation of business mail, and FP IAB, an expert in software solutions and IT/printing service providers, clearly indicate: Both product divisions are moving closer together in organisational terms. The General Managers will continue to press ahead with the optimisation of the project at the subsidiaries and accelerate the course of growth. This includes, among other things, the expansion of FP freesort's nationwide sorting centres into digitalisation hubs for the area of incoming mail, as well as the intelligent combination of logistics services and IT services. For the customer this saves time through shorter distances and simplified structures.

Thomas Damian was appointed the General Manager of FP freesort with immediate effect. The 45-year-old has been the General Manager of FP IAB since 2015 and will continue to hold this position. Previously, the specialist in digital communication processes worked for several years in managerial positions at Deutsche Post.

Michael Steinberg, who has been an interim member of FP freesort's management team since the summer of 2017, will be assuming this responsibility on a permanent basis in the future. At the same time, the 44-year-old was appointed the General Manager of FP IAB with immediate effect. Steinberg has been with the FP Group since 2016.

“We are pleased that both executives are taking over this additional responsibility. This is the ideal solution for the FP Group. We want to implement our growth strategy ACT not only in the franking machine business, but also in the Mail Services and Software business segments. With the dual leadership team we will be able to do this even better," explains FP's CEO, Rüdiger Andreas Günther, who is consistently trimming the entire Group for its course of growth.
