FP and forum handwerk digital promote digitalisation in the crafts sector

Francotyp-Postalia and the internet platform forum handwerk digital are now jointly supporting crafts businesses on their way to digitalisation. FP advises craftspeople in the field of cloud telephony and offers them secure and uncomplicated solutions.

Berlin, 04/08/2020 - Every second German crafts business sees digitalisation as a challenge. This is shown in a representative study by the Zentralverband des Deutschen Handwerks (German Confederation of Skilled Crafts, ZDH) and the digital association Bitkom . In order to survive in the market, companies must deal with digital solutions in the long term and integrate them into their business practices. From now on, they will receive support from Francotyp-Postalia (FP), expert for secure digital communication, and the action group forum handwerk digital (fhd).

On its internet platform, fhd informs crafts enterprises about digital solutions and their benefits. One of the digital solutions that crafts businesses can use to convert their operations is cloud telephony from FP. As part of its cooperation with fhd, the FP Group is a strong partner for craftspeople in the field of secure digital communication processes. The Group advises them on Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and the use of an IP telephone system.

More mobile and flexible thanks to cloud telephony

With cloud telephony, crafts businesses receive a future-proof alternative to an analogue telephone connection. When converting to an IP telephone system, all communication channels are digitally merged via the Internet. This offers crafts businesses a uniform and secure IT infrastructure and prepares them for increasing demands on mobility and flexibility. FP's VoIP solutions are operated in data centres in Germany, ensuring that the highest security standards are maintained. In addition, craftspeople can save costs in the long term with a virtual IP system because updates and technical maintenance are carried out by the providers.

“Digitalisation secures the long-term existence of crafts enterprises. It is important to us to support them as a strong partner for secure digital communication processes,” says Stefan Huth, Head of Marketing & Inside Sales at FP. Simone Emmerling, head of fhd, is also happy about the cooperation: “We have made it our business to make the craft digital and future-proof. We are pleased that we can count on the digital expertise of a company with a long tradition like FP in this respect.”

Secure digital solutions from FP

FP offers a broad portfolio of secure digital communication solutions that simplify processes and make them more efficient. For example, the platform-based signature solution FP Sign allows for signing documents and contracts digitally and securely exchanging them with business partners. The innovative software also offers the possibility of having the documents countersigned by several recipients within a few minutes and in compliance with the law.
