Digital signatures made easy: New version of FP Sign available

In December, Francotyp-Postalia (FP) is launching a new version of the digital signature solution FP Sign. Numerous new features and the newly developed mobile app facilitate accelerated business processes.

Berlin, 11 Dec. 2018 – Digitally signing, exchanging and countersigning contracts, invoices and quotations in a secure and legally compliant manner, even on the go – with the new version of FP Sign, this has now become even faster, more flexible and more convenient. Alongside numerous new features, the web-based signature solution from Francotyp-Postalia (FP), expert in the secure mailing business and secure digital communication processes, is now also available as an app for Android and iOS. This facilitates handling on mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets.

Binding positioning of signatures and initials

In order to avoid signatories accidentally placing their signature or initials in the wrong place on the document, the new version of FP Sign supports binding positioning. The sender of the document can now define which signatories sign where. In addition a signatory can place their signature at multiple points in a document, if required.

 Simplified exchange of file attachments

The new version of the signature solution allows the countersignatories now to enclose additional attachments to the document. Furthermore, FP Sign now supports all conventional Office documents, such as DOC(X) and PPT(X) files, and image file formats, which will automatically be converted into PDF format for purposes of processing.

“With the new features, we are now responding even more strongly to the requirements of our customers. FP Sign allows companies to work more efficiently, thus saving time and money. They thus remain competitive in the digital age,” says Stephan Vanberg, general manager of FP Mentana Claimsoft, a division of Francotyp-Postalia Holding AG.

Accelerated workflow through parallel signing

Where multiple business partners need to sign a document one after another in a defined sequence, the workflow might be held up if one of the signatories is sick or on holiday. The new FP Sign therefore allows all the recipients to sign the document parallel to one another. Where these are a defined group of signatories, FP Sign can now also save the list of individuals required for approval for subsequent comparable processes. Instead of time-consumingly adding all of the relevant individuals by their email addresses, the sender of the document can select the corresponding template with a single click.
