Digital signatures: FP closes the gap in demand between digitalisation and economic growth

DIGITALISATION AS A GROWTH ACCELERATOR ALSO IN THE OFFICE – STREAMLINING PROCESSES, SAVING TIME AND MONEY, INCREASING PRODUCTIVITY: DIGITAL SIGNATURES ENABLE USERS TO SIGN AND SEND SEVERAL DOCUMENTS SIMULTANEOUSLY, PLACE ELECTRONIC SEALS AND TO MAKE IT EVEN EASIER TO CONNECT THE CLOUD-BASED PLATFORM WITH THIRD-PARTY SYSTEMS. THE NEW FUNCTIONS OF THE GERMAN SIGNATURE SOLUTION FP SIGN WILL BE INTRODUCED AT THE CEBIT.

Berlin, 16 May 2018 – Francotyp-Postalia (FP) presents the new functions of FP Sign at the CeBIT (Hanover, 11-15 June, Bitkom exhibition stand, exhibition hall 15, exhibition stand E20). The cloud-based platform for digital signatures enables the confidential exchange and the signing of contracts in conformity with the law. No matter if from smartphones, tablets, in the home office or on the go: With the largest data integrity possible, users of the areas tax accountancy, financial services, personnel management or logistics as well as many other sectors are able to conclude binding contracts digitally. Thus, FP closes a gap in demand in times of rapid digitalisation and strong economic growth.

With the connection to the remote signature of the Bundesdruckerei, FP Sign provides its users with the qualified electronic signature “qeS”, without card readers or signature cards having to be held. A digital identity is recorded once (for example, via a video legitimation) and can always be used for the qeS via FP Sign.

Electronic seals are added as a new signature option. Contrary to the personal signature, they present a company’s proof of origin.

Furthermore, FP Sign can be connected to third-party systems even easier by extending the scope of function of REST API (the programming interface), such as Salesforce.com, specialised software systems or SAP.

“The new application options allow our customers the rapid and efficient conclusion of large numbers of contracts – and this with the highest data protection,” explains Stephan Vanberg, General Manager of FP Mentana-Claimsoft. “With the new version of FP Sign, we contribute considerably to the acceleration of business processes. With only a few clicks it is possible to conclude a large number of legal contracts – in this form, this is totally new in the business world”, continues Vanberg.

FP as the specialist for secure mailing business and secure digital communication processes has continuously improved the signature tool. For instance, the notification concept was extended for the persons involved in a signature process, increasing the user-friendliness and facilitating complex business processes.

The highest data protection standards apply to all application options of the signature tool: FP Sign sends documents only via data centres certified by the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI).

After prior registration (www.mentana-claimsoft.de/cebit2018), interested parties may visit a workshop at the CeBIT. At the Bitkom exhibition stand, FP offers trainings on FP Sign and the safe signing and sending of digital documents.
