FP subsidiary convinces with multi-client-capable gateway

Birkenwerder, 4 June 2013 – In the future, Deutsche Rentenversicherung will send and receive De-Mails via the gateway from Mentana-Claimsoft, a subsidiary of listed company Francotyp-Postalia Holding AG (FP). Mentana-Claimsoft won the De-Mail invitation to tender that was issued by Germany’s national statutory pension insurance company for an agreement lasting over three-and-a-half years, with implementation beginning in May 2013.

Mentana-Claimsoft scores points with multi-client capability

The decisive criteria for awarding the order to the FP subsidiary primarily included the multi-client capability of the De-Mail gateway, its suitability for computer centres and availability for Windows and Linux. “We had already installed the central gateway at the data office of the pension insurance companies (DSRV) for a trial run during the invitation to tender,” says sagt Axel Janhoff, Geschäftsführer der Mentana-Claimsoft GmbH. “Now that the contract has been concluded, the process of switching to live operation and specifying initial De-Mail applications is underway.”

De-Mail for companies and authorities

De-Mail is the digital twin of a letter. It allows mail to be sent in a fully electronic format in a binding, confidential and legally binding manner for the first time. It is estimated that up to 10% of annual mail in Germany could be sent via De-Mail in the next three to five years. However, before this can happen, it is necessary to build up a suitable infrastructure, to specify areas of use for De-Mail and to set up the relevant processes with the involvement of the customers, as Deutsche Rentenversicherung is doing now.

With the De-Mail portal for private customers and small customers and the De-Mail gateway for companies and authorities, FP offers every sender a wide range of products and services. Both companies and authorities require the simple implementation of a De-Mail gateway, which is integrated as software in the customer’s existing IT infrastructure and allows for custom adaptations.

Private individuals and small businesses enjoy the benefits of the web-based De-Mail portal. Customers simply register once at www.fp-demail.de following the identification process, they will then receive their own De-Mail address and can send and receive De-Mails straight away.
