Patricius de Gruyter appointed as new CSO of FP

Berlin, 25 May 2018 – Patricius de Gruyter will join the Management Board of Francotyp-Postalia Holding AG (FP) as at 1 June 2018. From this date on, de Gruyter will be responsible for all national and international sales and marketing activities at FP.

De Gruyter has been cooperating closely with the Management Board for nearly a year and is therefore already involved in a number of major ACT projects. This will ensure a smooth transition.

After more than five years of successful work as the Management Board member responsible for sales and marketing, de Gruyter’s predecessor Thomas Grethe has decided not to renew his contract when it expires routinely at the end of June and to take on new projects instead. Over the past few years, he has sustainably expanded sales in the core business of franking and inserting both nationally and internationally and helped to significantly advance the FP Group’s transformation into a dynamic growth company in the Management Board team led by CEO Rüdiger Andreas Günther.

The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Francotyp-Postalia Holding AG, Klaus Röhrig, said: “With Thomas Grethe, a manager is leaving the company who has performed excellently in his area but also for the entire Group. With Patricius de Gruyter, we are pleased to have found a successor who will continue FP’s growth trajectory and accelerate it further as CSO.”

Rüdiger Andreas Günther, CEO of the FP Group, also thanked Grethe for the many years of cooperation and the many successes achieved together. He welcomed de Gruyter to the Management Board team: “With Patricius de Gruyter, we are gaining a sales expert with management experience as a Management Board colleague. We are unifying all sales throughout the Group under his leadership.” The FP Group expects new sales growth in its core business and also in the new digital business areas from the concentration of all sales activities in one area of responsibility.

De Gruyter added: “With the ACT strategy, FP is developing into a new, agile company. Further increasing growth, driving forward the transformation – I intend to be dedicated in making these fascinating projects a success.”

Since 2012, de Gruyter has been working as an independent business consultant specialising in B2B sales and marketing. Prior to this, the 52-year-old was employed at several renowned companies in the IT, cable network operator and dialogue marketing sectors, including as Director of B2B Sales at Kabel Deutschland AG (now Vodafone). He has also worked as Managing Director of the Tectum Group, a specialist in customer service and telesales with 3,500 employees, and as Managing Director of Computacenter AG, a leading IT service provider. The business administration graduate earned his degree at the WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Vallendar. The Berlin-born Dutchman is married and has two children.
