The cloud-based online portal from Francotyp-Postalia (FP) “discoverFP.com” promises to manage FP products and their data securely from anywhere. Different solutions for secure digital communication should make life easier for existing customers and save them time.
Berlin, 27. Feb 2020 – Whether it’s digital signature solutions, office services for sending post online, scanning services, voice over IP (VOIP) business telephone services, simply sending a package with the FP Parcel Shipping solution, which first became available in the USA in February, cost centre management, reporting or user management of franking systems – the new one-stop platform from FP combines the company’s various products and services in one online portal.
Cloud solution as an important component of the ACT Strategy
“discoverFP is an integral component of our ACT Strategy, which we are using to develop new solutions and services for both our existing and new customers. At the same time, the portal serves as an important tool to further strengthen the traditional business around franking systems. With discoverFP, we accompany our customers on their path to digitalisation – with an easy-to-use portal that comes with many additional benefits” says Rüdiger Andreas Günther, CEO/CFO of FP.
Successful launch before completion
FP has successfully introduced “discoverFP” into all markets; in the strategically important countries such as the USA, Germany, France and Great Britain as well as in countries such as Italy, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden and Austria. With the introduction into Canada in 2020, the specialist for secure digital communication is now completing the international roll-out of the platform. The initial figures prove that the cloud solution is meeting customer wishes. Nearly every one in two FP business customers in the Netherlands uses the new portal, as do one in three in Belgium and one in five in Great Britain.
Franking machines in the Cloud
Another new feature of the cloud solution is that the latest flagship of the FP franking system fleet, the “PostBase”, can be controlled and evaluated with it. No matter where you are. Invoices and account details can be viewed or ink and postage status can be checked via an easy-to-use web dashboard.
A single platform with complete functionality
Thanks to automatic synchronisation, real-time analyses are centrally available in the portal. Reports that can be created at any time offer an overview of potential savings on postage costs.
More transparency through connectivity
“Overall the administrative effort for our customers is reduced enormously,” says CSO Patricius de Gruyter. “With franking systems alone, entire fleets can be centrally controlled or cost centres can be established according to departments, people or authorisation levels. Worldwide there are over 200,000 FP franking machines in use, which print postage worth over 1.2 billion euros annually. With the new customer portal, we’re now pooling all solutions in one place”
