Security at all levels: FP to present solutions for electronic legal transactions at the German Jurists Forum in Leipzig

From 26 to 28 September 2018, Francotyp-Postalia (FP) will be a guest at the 72nd German Jurists Forum in Leipzig. The expert in secure mailing business and secure digital communication processes will be presenting its products for legal correspondence observing full legal compliance to forum visitors.

Berlin, 19 September 2018 – At the beginning of September, the German Federal Chamber of Lawyers (BRAK) took another important step towards the obligation to use electronic legal transactions (ERV) with the launch of the special electronic lawyer mailbox (beA). As of 1 January 2022, this will apply nationwide throughout Germany, to all lawyers and authorities when transmitting documents to courts. FP will show at Europe’s largest legal symposium in the Congress Center, Leipzig, and will present its products for secure electronic legal transactions to an expert audience. FP Mentana-Claimsoft, a division of the FP Group, will at the same time be presenting two solutions for the legally-compliant transmission of electronic documents: the FP Mentana Gateway and the signature solution FP Sign.

Secure and legally binding transmission of messages

The FP Mentana Gateway enables companies and public authorities to communicate cost-effectively, efficiently and in compliance with the law by connecting the existing internal email infrastructure to secure and legally-binding communication channels such as EGVP¹, beBPo² or De-Mail³. The multi-client-capable Mentana Gateway converts the message into the correct format and sends it securely through the appropriate channel. The great advantage: nothing changes for the user. FP Mentana-Claimsoft GmbH is the only service provider for De-Mail accredited by the German Federal Office for Information Security (Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik, BSI) that also enables connection to EGVP and beBPo.

Sign digitally: completely without a signature card or card reader

With FP Sign, the data encryption expert will also present a solution for secure digital contract signing. Documents to be countersigned, such as client contracts, can be digitally signed without the need for a signature card and a card reader. This shortens the contract processing time to a few minutes and can be carried out online from any device and business application – even when on the move. By integrating the remote signature sign-me of the German Federal Printing Office (Bundesdruckerei), the software solution meets the requirements for the personal qualified signature, the highest and most secure signature level. Visitors to the FP stand will have the opportunity to try out the FP Sign signature solution with a test account.

“Digitalisation in electronic legal transactions requires a high level of confidentiality and security. With our many years of expertise in the area of secure communication, as an accredited De-Mail provider and through our close cooperation with the German Federal Printing Office (Bundesdruckerei), we meet all security requirements,” explains Stephan Vanberg, General Manager of FP Mentana-Claimsoft GmbH.

Helper for efficient and secure customer communication

Francotyp-Postalia Vertrieb und Service GmbH, another division of the FP Group, will also be presenting its PostBase franking machine and WebBrief24 products for analogue legal correspondence at the fair. The PostBase franking system is easy to operate, franks up to 100 letters per minute and facilitates everyday office life. In Germany, FP has already sold over 20,000 PostBase franking systems. With WebBrief24, companies and authorities can send letters securely and efficiently online: FP takes care of the printing, folding/inserting and franking.

Since a successful customer relationship goes beyond letter and email communication, FP has expanded its service and product range to include professional high-end cloud telephony and offers to its customers a complete IP telephony solution – Made in Germany.

The FP data centres are operated in Germany, meet the highest security standards and provide excellent voice quality. Companies maintain complete flexibility, as use of the system can be cancelled monthly. More than 150 intelligent features, such as the use of computer telephony integration (CTI), the integration of mobile phones, the networking of several locations to form one system, telephone conferences with up to 50 participants or time-controlled call routing are possible.
